WHY

I charge my MacBook exclusively with USBC. Mostly on the dock with a single Thunderbolt 4 cable. Even when off the dock I never use the MagSafe connector because little metal shavings get inside the connector and it never makes good connection. I use my MacBook in the shop a lot so, yeah, the metal shavings/dust find their way in. Its hard to clean without compressed air to blow it out. I know a lot of users love this connection and I see the appeal - just not for me. So I created a metal cover that stays in place the same way the MagSafe cable does to prevent metal shavings from entering the connector. It is slightly proud of the MacBook's body so you can remove it with your fingernail.
